Sunrisers Hyderabad team players list – SRH team squad 2018 : Sunrisers Hyderabad was the team that emerged victorious at the 2016 edition of the Indian Premier League or IPL. The squad was star-studded and more than prepared to take on the rival teams. They were confident about themselves and hence they conquered the tournament. The performance was quite commendable and four eminent players made it on the list of the most runs scored and the most wickets taken and they deserved every bit of the feat. The squad of Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2017 edition of IPL is ready to repeat their unbelievable performance yet again and the squad is as follows.
The captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team David Warner led his side to a great victory and has been given the responsibility of doing the same this year as well. He had the makings of a great captain and he led the team with great quality and leadership. He became the second highest scorer of the last season of the tournament (IPL) by delivering a consistent and powerful performance as a batsman of great merit and skill. In only 17 innings he gathered 848 runs with 93 being his personal best score of the tournament.
It was not just the captain David Warner who played exceptionally well and contributed to the great victory. Other prominent members of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team players 2018 contributed greatly as well and came through for the team and the fans at the most crucial times. With a fearsome line up in both the batting and bowling sectors, Sunrisers Hyderabad showed their true capabilities by conquering every challenge. Ashish Nehra, Mustafizur Rahman, Moises Henriques, Ben Cutting and Bhuvneshwar Kumar all had a major role to play in the team’s victory in the year 2016.
There were minor setbacks, especially during the playoffs where they lost a few matches but came back only more determined and powerful to make up for the losses. They pulled off what seemed nearly impossible and achieved a victory that was absolutely amazing in the true sense of the word. Batsman Shikhar Dhawan had 501 runs to his name in the 2016 edition of IPL and that was a crucial factor in the victory that followed. Yuvraj Singh, who recovered from his injury prior to the tournament, returned with a bang and scored 236 runs in only 10 innings.
One of the most impressive performances was delivered by the star bowler of the team, Bhuvneshwar Kumar who took 23 wickets in only 17 innings, helping the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their quest for the trophy. His best was 4/29agains the Gujarat Lions. Mustafizur Rahman, Barinder Sran and Moises Henriques took 17 wickets, 14 wickets and 12 wickets respectively. The Sunrisers Hyderabad team players lost two group stage matches but made up for it during the playoffs. They missed the qualifiers round and were tagged as the ‘underdogs’ in the elimination round.
Warner played exceptionally well against Gujarat Lions, scoring 93 off only 58 balls and secured a place for his team in the finals. In the finals, they made Bangalore chase a whopping 208 runs. They made it difficult for their rivals by claiming two crucial wickets quite early in the game. They became the first team to win the trophy even after being outside the top two in the league.
Chris Jordan, Mohammed Nabi, Rashid Khan and PravinTambe are the young and fresh talents that will be on the new squad of the team. One can only hope this will make the team more balanced, powerful and aggressive than it was last year.
